As a patent attorney at Klickow & Wetzel, Dr. Hans-Henning Klickow advises small and medium-sized enterprises, large companies and start-ups, primarily in the fields of mechanical engineering, medical technology, electrical engineering and the metal industry. In addition to international patent and trademark law, Dr. Klickow is active in the fields of due diligence and patent portfolio analysis and successfully develops patent strategies based on his special market knowledge in various fields. Among other things, Dr. Klickow has extensive expertise in the drafting of patent applications, the active support of official examination procedures, the internationalization of patent portfolios and the implementation of an inventor system for the application of employee invention law in companies.

After studying electrical engineering at university, gaining practical professional experience and obtaining his doctorate in engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg, Dr. Klickow trained as a German Patent Attorney and was admitted as a European Patent Attorney. As a patent attorney, he has been advising clients from a wide range of commercial fields in all matters relating to intellectual property rights since 1989. In addition, he provided significant support to the patent department of a medium-sized packaging machine manufacturer as part of his many years of consultancy work. Since 2023, he has also been an authorized representative at the Unified Patent Court.
